Q: There are so many Ion Detox machines, how can I make the right choice?

A: I completely understand your concerns. There are Many companies making a lot of claims. One that Really gets me is a company making the claim that They have the best unit and offering it for around $2,800 And at the same time offering to give a purchaser up to $1,500 for trading in a competitors unit. Why would they Offer $1,500 trade in on a product they condemn? This shows Their markup is tremendous and outrageous.

Q: How do you keep the tube clean?

A: You can use a liner we sell or a good trash bag.

Q: How do you clean the Array? (The part that goes in the water)

A: The array is needs to be cleaned after every use by soaking in a combination of 30 parts water and 1 part of phosphoric acid or household bleach. Any drug store and most grocery stores have this. Soak at least 5 minutes.

Q: What is an Array?

A: The array is the part that goes in the tube of water and creates the Ions. The array generates the ions and the ions are assimilated into the body. The unit comes with one Array and it will last about 30-50 uses.

Q: What is the purpose of the Wrist strap?

Q: Are there any directions as to who should use it and How Much?

A: 1. People who have battery operated implants (e.g.. pace makers) should never use 2. Anyone who has received an organ transplant should never use. 3. Pregnant women or nursing woman should never use. 4. Less than 8 years old child should not use. 5. People who have low blood sugar should eat before use. 6. Persons using high quantities of tobacco or alcohol should use the machine. 7. Persons with low immunity should use the machine. 8.Persons who have high stress should use the machine. 9.Persons who use excessive oils for cooking should use the machine. 10.Persons with diabetes, hypertension, high blood sugar, rheumatism, or arthritis should use the machine.

Q: How much Water should I put in the Tube?

A: Put enough to cover the holes in the array. Do not cover the cap of the array.

Q: How much Salt should I put in the water?

A: Look in you manual and find the area that says "work Electricity" or "energy value" or similar wording. Add enough salt to reach the recommended energy value for your unit. When you start out is is ok to take up to 7-10 minutes to get it the "work electricity" right. After you put a little salt in give it plenty of time to dissolve and give an accurate reading. After you do it a couple of times you will have a good idea of how much salt to add.

Q: How do I set up my Unit?

A. You cannot plug the connections into the wrong place because they are very different. Just look at the size and shape of the connector and match this to the unit. The Elastic band can be worn on the wrist and there is only one place to plug the other end in on the unit. The Array Plug has the larger plug and will plug in only one place on the unit. The wall adapter (if you unit comes with this) plugs into the electrical outlet and another connection connects the wall adapter to the unit. Your unit may just an single cord from the wall to the unit.

Q: What type of water should I use?

A: Use ordinary tape water, well water or spring water.

Q: Why does the water change color?
A: We must consider all the factors as to why the water changes colors. Basically, the Foot Detox is based on electrolysis. If we analyze the system we find the following elements: water classification and types of salt which are used to achieve optimum conductivity.
All tap water that is used has its own impurities which due to the electrolysis are drawn towards or separated from other components. Remember, the water that normally reaches our homes can contain variable quantities of suspended solids such as sodium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, chlorine antimony, arsenic, asbestos, barium, boron, cadmium, chromium, copper, cyanide, fluorine, iron, lead, mercury, nickel, sulphates, thallium, nitrates, pesticides, herbicides, detergents and organic material, amongst many others.
When the Foot Detox "array" starts to work in the water, apart from the changes in the pHs, some of these substances can come to light as being present in the water. This is one of the reasons for the color changes and the release of small quantities of different gases like oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine and some sulphurs. The "arrays" are metallic and will release waste and will result in an electrolytic reaction which will in turn cause it to corrode.
Another influencing matter is what we introduce into the water, lets say our feet. These have their own properties such as acidity or alkalinity. One can also find germ, bacteria, yeast infections and parasites. The skin can also contain remnants of soap, creams, dyes and fibers. There will also be a release of substances from the sebaceous glands and dead cells. All these factors combined will influence the color change. Last of all we have the internal condition of the body which will influence and manifest themselves in the water.
Here we need to take into account sub dermis conditions, the capillary microcirculation and other internal influences that can be emitted through the largest human organ, our skin. Temperature will also affect chemical reactions in the water. If we take into account all these factors we can start to understand why color changes take place in the water, these colors can be black, green, brown, white, yellow etc, and deposits can sink or float on the water.

Q: 14. My Water does not change colors.

A: In some areas the water does not change colors. This does not mean the Ionization is not working. If your energy is increased to the specified level for the unit you are using then you are generating negative and positive ions. Also, after the session check and see if there is an oily substance around the edges of the lining. This oily substance is released during the session and is also an indicator that the Ion foot detox is working correctly.
